Kia ora. Hola!

I’m Shara, well, my real name is Hector, but that’s another story.

I’m a multicultural and awarded Creative Director living in beautiful Ōtautahi Christchurch, New Zealand.

After working in Mexico, Chicago, Houston and Miami for large ad agencies such as BBDO, Publicis and Y&R (Now VML), I arrived in New Zealand a few years ago with my kiwi wife.

Throughout my advertising agency experience I’ve worked with a wide range of brands and categories, from Jeep, Subaru, MINI, Mazda and Mercedes-Benz through to Nestle, Campbell’s, Pepsi, Frito-Lay, Procter and Gamble, Fedex, Tabasco, Snickers, to AT&T, Asahi, Localist, Southern Cross NZ, IGLOO, Bayer and Nintendo.

My work has been recognized at international advertising festivals such as Cannes, New York Festival, London Advertising, Circulo Creativo de México, Effie, Best Ads and Wave.

From strategy, brainstorming, conceptualizing, presenting, and executing, I am capable of developing the whole enchilada from start to finish for big and small clients.

During my time in Auckland, I worked as a Senior writer and Creative Director for Barnes Catmur & Friends, Ogilvy, TRUE, .99, Raydar, Hustle and Bustle, Copper and Brandspank.

In 2015, I moved to Christchurch, NZ where for over three years I worked as Creative Director for NZME, leading and inspiring the creative team to create & implement integrated platforms for clients all across the country and the Australasian market.

In 2018 I had a great opportunity: to become the Creative Director for the city at ChristchurchNZ. From there, I was highly involved with all things related to place branding, place marketing and integrated & digital campaigns.

Finally, in 2022, I took the leap, and together with two amazing human beings, we created TwoScoops, a creative agency that actually connects brands with their customers through bold ideas.

I'm the head of Creative and Founder of TwoScoops, a creative agency in Christchruch where we convince clients to create work with a different flavour.
